What Our Fighters Say

MMA highlights:
I’ve had two fights against international opponents so far. At EFC 01 I fought Muhannad Barazi and won by KO in round one. He was really out of shape and unconditioned but, then again, so was I! Later in my career I fought Robert Rodrigues and beat him by TKO at the end of round 1. For some reason I felt invincible in that fight and I split his top lip straight down the middle with a hook.
Your future in MMA: I want to be the best pound for pound welterweight in EFC AFRICA. My defeat against Speechly was just the beginning, I now know what needs to be done to earn bragging rights as the champion.

MMA highlights:
Fighting Francois Groenewald was a highlight because he was the first decent jits guy I fought and it was fun to test my skill against his. I also came out on top in an amateur tournament.

Martial arts experience before MMA?
I first got into Muay Thai in 2000 while working as a bouncer in Cape Town. After two months of self-defence training my coach got me a fight. My Muay Thai record is 49 wins, 3 losses, 1 no contest. In kickboxing I’ve had 12 fights, no losses. In extreme striking I’ve had 6 fights, one loss.

I joined The TapOut Academy long ago, and I have to say that by far this is one of the best gyms that I've trained at compared to my previous gyms. The trainers really know what they do to get you ready, and prepare you for what you're looking for, whether it's to condition your body, or to compete!!
